MEET JOHN HASTINGS (HASTO)

A former professional cricketer for 17 years with a wealth of knowledge of elite-level systems and programming. Having been exposed to many different countries and cultures, Hasto quickly learned the need for study and professional development. His knowledge is wide-ranging through various bachelor degrees and small business, fitness and coaching courses.

Since retiring from cricket in 2017, he successfully opened and ran multiple businesses from start-up stage in the health/fitness industry as well as hospitality and coaching. Hasto opened his first STRONG Studio in Australia early 2020, and now exclusively owns the Master Franchise for STRONG Pilates across the UK.

At STRONG, we never rest on our laurels. We are constantly conceptualising and testing new fitness technology that can add to and evolve the STRONG offering to enhance our client experience.

Our Rowformer is an exclusively-licensed machine that is half a reformer Pilates and half a rower, which makes for an intense full-body workout that combines cardio training with strength and resistance.

Launching in 2023, our Former range has evolved to now include the Bikeformer, swapping out the rower for a bike. Another first to market in our industry, exclusive to STRONG.

Meet the Rowformer

The ROWFORMER is a cutting-edge, first-of-its-kind machine that combines progressive spring tension, quality vinyl anti-microbial seats with foam insets for cushion and stability, resistance bands, and the renowned Concept 2 rowing machine equipped with a proprietary foot plate and seat system, all monitored by the PM5 for comprehensive tracking.

Put simply: Rowing Machine + Reformer Bed = A ROWformer.

Pre & Post Workout

STRONG’s Mobility Screens provide a guided stretch 10 minutes before or after a STRONG class. The screens generally sit in communal areas within the studio and display a yoga flow that directly relates to the type of STRONG session on the day.

Unique to STRONG Pilates

Unique to STRONG Pilates, our instructor-assist technology provides a visual queue to the members, displayed on movement screens around the studio. Our instructors have full control, using a remote system to move from one exercise to another.

The choice is yours

Row or ride? The choice is now yours. Introduced in 2023, RIDE stays true to our high intensity, low impact ethos, giving our members another way to HIIT their goals. The introduction of the Bikes is allowing members to choose their favourite equipment for their cardio workout.
